ABOUT

BUDDE

BUDDE aims to purposefully stimulate senses.

We believe functionality and a pleasing aesthetic are only prerequisites of a good design. More important is the impact a design has on a person. Can it evoke creative thinking? Does it inspire in a meaningful way?

BUDDE aspires to enrich living environments and inspire minds through sensual design.

We love pure, confident lines as much as we appreciate a poetic charm. Our modern-classic furniture integrates seamlessly into various spaces as ‘calm eyecatchers’ – special but not flashy. The intuitive shapes are designed to stimulate viewing habits and engage in a meaningful yet effortless way.

The heart and mind behind the brand – Architect Johannes Budde

From architecture to furniture, the founder Johannes Budde explores design in multiple facets. After having studied in Milan, Vienna and Singapore and having worked as an architect & interior designer, he decided to devote himself entirely to his passion in late 2019. Since the early beginning of BUDDE, his partner Meike Papenfuß has been onboard to support in brand building, business development and social media marketing.

We are on a journey to sustainably grow BUDDE in order to ensure our desired design and product quality at any time.

Manufactured in Germany, BUDDE stands for modern design that is built to last.

Each piece of furniture is manufactured at a carefully selected partner in Germany to guarantee the highest quality standards. Since its founding, BUDDE has committed itself to fair labour conditions and sustainability throughout the value chain – from the selection of materials, production processes to logistics. We highly value and strongly support mindful consumption and are proud that our timeless designs and durable furniture contribute to this development.
